I am a photographer and art historian living in Antwerp, Belgium. Currently I’m working as a freelance photographer and as an editor of Intimate Structures - photography publication. In the previous years I interned and worked at Jef Claes Studio, Valerie Traan Gallery and M HKA, Antwerp.
Working at the intersection of art and science, my artistic practice is focused on analysing parallels between senses and memory, emotional states and conditions of the Post―Anthropocene. I explore fields like psychology, neuroscience, ecology or biology to find basis for my speculative photographic storytelling and olfactory works.
‘Fading Senses’ has been recently presented in a solo exhibition at PhMuseum Days 2021 ― International Photography Festival in Bologna, Italy. The project has been also selected for Nexus, an online exhibition curated by Sophie Gladstone and William Lakin from XLVI Space, showcasing selected graduate projects from 2020 and 2021. Read an article about the expo in British Journal of Photography. The offline group show is taking place now in Padua, Italy during Photo Open Up (18.09―17.10).
